Our Practice

In 2013, Dr. Andrea Barmish Mazza and Dr. Erica Wagner-Heimann opened the doors of CAO with the mutual vision of a practice grounded in empirical efficacy and a mission to improve the quality of life for those with anxiety, OCD, depression, and related disorders. Long-time colleague and friend Dr. Jennifer Keller subsequently joined CAO, sharing in the team’s core values and vision of impactful individualized treatment, collaborative warmth, and the dissemination of research in clinical practice. The doctors have trained with experts from coast to coast and together they bring their accomplished backgrounds and dynamic style to the North Shore of Chicago. CAO has grown into a thriving clinic with a depth of skill and expertise in assessment and diagnostics, approachable treatment, and effective clinical care. We are so fortunate to call CAO our professional home and family.

Our Team

Our clinicians are experts in the field and partners in treatment. Our approach is deeply rooted in evidence-based practice and proven interventions for effective treatment across the lifespan. Our clinicians are interactive, energetic, and warm as we encourage our patients to take the challenging steps to reach their goals (even in the face of fear!), and we maintain a vibrant sense of humor while doing it. We empower patients to build on their strengths with a focus on engendering hope and confidence to conquer their worry and improve their behavioral health. Our team emphasizes clarity of the treatment process – we work with our patients to understand the goals of treatment, master the skills necessary to reach those targets, and celebrate the progress they are making along the way. Through consultation and collaboration, we work seamlessly as a cohesive treatment team to ensure we are providing the most effective clinical care possible.
